FAQs

Below are some commonly asked questions about working with deq and fundraising in general.

How long does the process take?

Once deq receives a complete outline of your pitch, we normally turn around a deck in a few days. This is often a V0, where it’s 8/10ths designed so we can primarily align on the content, narrative, and flow. Feedback is normally addressed the same day, but we do ask for 48 hours.

Typically, it takes 2 to 3 weeks. If you need it sooner, we can accommodate that. For instance, we once began a project on Friday, and the founder raised $4 million by Monday.

What should I put in my pitch deck?

The short answer is that there isn’t just one way to pitch, but there are some tried and true constructs.

Can you share examples of your
pitch decks?

We cannot. We appreciate the sensitive nature of raising. Every conversation, every document, every fact and figure is kept in strict confidence. Because of that, we do not share our clients’ work with others. Rest assured, you’ll love what we make for you. 100%.

How much will
this cost?

An excellent 20-page pitch deck costs $8,000.

Larger decks start at $10,000

Advisory services are offered at $500/hr

A one-hour virtual critique can be booked here.

Do you work
for equity?

Rarely.

What do you mean by unlimited rounds of revisions?

Exactly that. Between the moment we kick off and the moment you pay, you can request as many revisions as you’d like. Whenever you’re totally satisfied, we will send you an invoice. Once paid, we will deliver you a .key, (or .ppt or Figma), and a PDF. At that time, our scope is complete.

If you’d like us to jump back in after the final delivery, an hourly fee of $500 is applied to further edits. And, as a friendly reminder, you cannot use the deck to fundraise until payment has been received.

Can we work together on other things?

Absolutely. More often than not we work with our clients long after the pitch deck is done. Brand development, content creation, package design, web design. We’re here to support your venture in whichever way you need. And if we can’t, we’re more than happy to connect you to someone who can.

Can you introduce me to VCs?

The short answer is maybe. Over the years we’ve developed close relationships with some great funds. If we think you’re the right fit, we are more than happy to make an introduction.
